Why Jewelry?

In short, it brings me peace. Creating new pieces calms me. The satisfaction of creating something someone loves is really special too. Bead shopping has to be my favorite though. I only use a brand called Miyuki for my seed beads, and for the rest of the beads I use stone and glass beads of various brands. I really love shopping for beads, I get lost in it, and it feels like the possibilities are endless. I love finding new shapes and colors to use in my pieces. I try to stay away from plastic as much as I can. I like to be as environmentally friendly as possible. I use plastic elastic string for my beaded bracelets but as far as the beads are concerned I stick to glass and stone. My deepest desire for my business is to move into silver smithing and bead weaving. I want to expand my abilities and challenge myself to grow into more skilled areas of jewelry. But for now i'll continue with my current products and expand the designs more until I grow to a point where I can bring in more skill into each piece.
